S-Curve

Elon Musk credits a lot of his success to a concept called first principles thinking. It’s all about taking an idea and breaking it down to its most basic form. For example, when people said it was impossible to land a booster rocket, he didn’t just accept that. He asked, “Is it possible to do it?”

I’ve taken a similar approach in my own journey. I graduated from UCI with a degree in computer science so I’m not from a traditional finance background. Because of that, I might do things a little differently, maybe even out of order. But that’s the beauty of it. I have preconceived notions of what is “right” or “wrong”. It’s not that I don’t try to learn from others experiences. I just try to validate and challenge a lot of ideas and theories.

I’ve always been fascinated by the S-Curve and it’s exponential growth. The name comes from the shape that the price produces. That’s actually how I came up with the name for this site.

Fascinated by this, I wonder if it was possible to have a portfolio with exponential growth. Well luckily the miracle of compounding exists! Sometimes, I like to joke that I’m a professional bubble chaser.
